It happens so often in practice - a healthcare co-worker happens to see that a confused patient is about to wander out of his or her care home.
If this were to go unnoticed, it could result in injury or death for the patient. This can lead to stressful situations for the nursing staff and the family of the patient. Nedap Healthcare's solution protects patients who have a constant urge to wander against themselves and their surroundings. What is more, it does so invisibly and without discomfort. The patient's dignity is respected as he or she hardly notices the measures that are taken.

More Efficient Reaction Saves Time
When a patient exits a certain zone, a user-definable message can be sent immediately and discreetly to the pager of the duty nurse. This enables the staff to respond quickly and efficiently, so the danger of patients wandering unseen from a protected environment is a thing of the past.
The alarm can be given in various ways. The response can be adjusted to the ward's requirements. The nursing staff are therefore warned only whenever it is really necessary, which means they have more time for rest and for nursing duties.

Patients with a known urge to wander at random wear a small transmitter that works without batteries. As soon as the patient leaves the safe zone, the predetermined action is automatically set in motion: the lift cannot be activated, the door remains locked or a silent alarm is sent via the pager system. The text of the message is specific to the patient and the location. This message can even be sent to a specific nurse, depending on the identity of the patient. The report indicates the location and the name of the patient so that one can see immediately who has left which zone.

Antenna and transmitter
The antenna of the wander protection system can be installed invisibly. It is also possible to install the system outside. Links to pager systems are available. Because the patients' transmitters work without batteries, they are maintenance-free and have an extremely long service life.

AEOS
The AEOS system is modular and scaleable. AEOS is equipped with a web server and can be connected to the TCP/IP network. This offers you the facility to manage alarms centrally.
